Welcome!

I’m thrilled that you’re here and eager to engage with topics such as multiculturalism, diversity, inclusion, language justice, bilingual books, and parenting with all these things in mind. It is my hope that you find this site to be a safe space where we can explore these topics and learn from one another as we navigate the complexities of an evolving world. I’m very passionate about raising awareness to create social change and supporting spaces that are diverse, inclusive and multilingual.

Who I Am:

I’m an Afro-Latina mom of three children ages 15, 13, and 10, residing in the United States for the past 20 years. I’m dedicated to raising bilingual and multicultural kids through books, travel, and diversity.

What I Am:

I’m a storyteller, author, speaker, and trainer, committed to supporting organizations and individuals in their journey towards transformational change.

When Did It All Start:

Almost 20 years ago, I launched my first blog while living in New York City. Five years later, after becoming a mother for the first time, I created a different blog that propelled me on a journey of growth both professionally and personally.

Where I Feel My Best:

In my personal life, I feel most alive when immersed in nature: whether it’s at a Dominican beach, hiking a scenic North Carolina trail, or simply enjoying the scent of roses on my front porch. Professionally, I thrive in speaking engagements, facilitating training and workshops where I can both teach and learn in a supportive environment.

Why I’m Here:

I believe in equality and respect for all. I believe and champion diversity as a means to enrich our lives. I believe everyone should have the power to communicate in their preferred language.  I believe in self-determination, and I believe each of us can contribute to making the world a better place.

How I Can Help:

As an experienced speaker and trainer, I offer tailor-made seminars, webinars, workshops, and presentations to support schools, teachers, students, non-profit organizations, foundations, conferences, retreats, or individuals on topics such as diversity and inclusion, language justice, bilingual books, multicultural parenting, and more.
